Senior Loan Administrator / Portfolio Manager

Alec Fontaine serves as Senior Loan Administrator and Portfolio Manager at Phoenix Capital Solutions, responsible for the complete lifecycle management of each loan assigned to his portfolio — from closing setup and due diligence coordination through ongoing compliance monitoring, payment administration, and eventual Liquidity Event execution. Each assigned loan is his from closing through maturity: he is the primary point of accountability for its documentation, borrower relationship, and performance. The precision, discipline, and analytical rigor he brings to that function is what the assigned loan administration role demands.

Alec brings a strong foundation in public accounting, audit, and financial advisory. Most recently, he served as an Audit Supervisor at a nationally recognized public accounting and advisory firm, where he led financial statement audits, developed risk-based audit plans, analyzed financial data for accuracy and compliance, and supervised staff. He also leveraged data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and UiPath to identify trends, anomalies, and process improvements, skills that translate directly to portfolio monitoring and financial oversight.

Previously, Alec was an Accounting Manager at a regional accounting firm, where he managed a portfolio of 10–15 clients and delivered accounting, bookkeeping, tax planning, payroll, and CFO advisory services. This experience strengthened his ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial records.

Earlier in his career, Alec worked in public accounting in a tax-focused role, where he prepared and reviewed corporate tax returns and complex workpapers, including book-to-tax analyses and partner allocations, while mentoring junior staff. This experience established a strong foundation in structured financial processes and documentation.

Alec holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Applied Statistics from Bryant University. He also holds multiple certifications in data analytics and automation, including Alteryx Designer Core and Advanced certifications and an RPA Developer Foundations designation- credentials that reflect a genuine commitment to applying data and automation to operational problems. His proficiency across a broad range of financial platforms, including QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and multiple tax and engagement management systems, positions him to manage the technology-supported workflows that Phoenix Capital's loan administration infrastructure requires.

At Phoenix Capital, Alec’s combination of public accounting rigor, portfolio-level client management experience, and advanced data analytics capability makes him the right professional for the loan administration role. For sellers whose notes depend on consistent, accurate payment administration, for borrowers whose compliance obligations require a disciplined and responsive point of contact, and for institutional investors whose capital depends on the performance of the underlying assets, Alec’s management of each loan in his assigned book reflects the firm’s standard of operational excellence.
