Vendor Relations & Reporting Lead

Anthony Johnson serves as Vendor Relations and Reporting Lead at Phoenix Capital Solutions, responsible for helping to manage the firm's vendor relationships within the Phoenix Capital Vendor Management Program, overseeing vendor onboarding for new loans, negotiating vendor agreements, and maintaining the operational accounting functions that support the loan administration team's day-to-day activities.

Anthony is a seasoned accounts payable and vendor management professional whose career spans more than fifteen years of hands-on financial operations work across multiple industries. He most recently served as Accounts Payable Specialist at American Equipment Systems in Murray, Utah, where he processed and verified invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, reconciled vendor statements, and maintained active vendor communications. Prior roles included AP Specialist at MIT45, Accounts Payable at Granger Medical Clinic in West Jordan, and Accounts Payable Supervisor at Fanzz Sports Apparel in Salt Lake City — where he directly supervised two AP clerks, reconciled vendor statements, researched and analyzed transaction documentation, implemented process improvements, and managed vendor communications on account status and discrepancies.

Earlier in his career, Anthony served as Accounts Payable Clerk at Pentalon Construction, a Draper, Utah-based construction firm, where he managed vendor invoices across project files, handled overhead invoice processing, and supported the accounts payable workflow across construction operations. His experience spans healthcare, retail, construction, and professional services — a breadth that reflects an adaptability to different vendor environments and operational contexts. He has worked with a range of accounting platforms including QuickBooks, SAP, MAS 500, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage 100 for Construction, and Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Before his accounting and vendor management career, Anthony served as a Sergeant and Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army from 1999 to 2008, where he also served as a linguist and operating room specialist. Military service at the NCO level instills a standard of operational discipline, process adherence, and accountability that carries into every professional role that follows — and those qualities are directly relevant to the precision that vendor and payment management at Phoenix Capital requires.

Anthony holds a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, an Associate of Applied Science from Portland Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Boise State University. At Phoenix Capital, his combination of multi-industry vendor management experience, accounting operational discipline, and military-developed process rigor makes him the right professional to manage the vendor program that plays a central role in how Phoenix Capital delivers value to the borrowers in its portfolio.
