Ross McBride
Closing & Transaction Coordinator
Ross McBride serves as Closing and Transaction Coordinator at Phoenix Capital Solutions, holding responsibility for one of the most operationally demanding functions in the firm's deal lifecycle: the coordination of every element required to take a deal from approved transaction to fully executed, properly boarded, and first-payment-received. In a business where multiple parties — brokers, sellers, buyers, title companies, legal counsel, and servicers — must all move together to close each transaction cleanly, the closing coordinator is the operational center that keeps everything on track.
Ross brings more than two decades of loan processing and closing experience to this role. He most recently served as Loan Processing Team Trainer, Loan Processor, and Loan Processing Assistant at Churchill Mortgage Corporation, a role he held for a decade beginning in 2015. In that capacity, he developed and delivered visual, written, and video training materials to support loan processing team members in day-to-day functions, helped develop and pilot a Loan Processor Assistant program to improve unit-level efficiency, resolved underwriting stipulations directly with borrowers and business partners, and processed an extensive range of loan programs including government loans, state bond programs, conventional financing, and brokered loans. His proficiency with LP, DU, and Encompass software reflects a technical command of the operational systems that loan processing depends on.
Before Churchill Mortgage, Ross served as Loan Partner at People's Home Equity, Inc., where he managed a pipeline of 20 to 40 files per month, submitted Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, THDA, and non-conforming loans to underwriting, reviewed and addressed underwriting stipulations directly and indirectly with borrowers, and communicated directly with listing and selling agents, title companies, and originators on current loan status. Prior to that, he spent over a decade at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in roles that included Operations Analyst, Loan Adjustor Specialist, Sales Relationship Representative, and Loan Processor — a progression that gave him broad exposure to every function within the mortgage loan lifecycle.
At Phoenix Capital, Ross's institutional processing experience translates directly to the management of the firm's commercial seller-financed note closings. His role as closing coordinator requires the same skills that defined his mortgage career: multi-party communication, document tracking, stipulation resolution, and the systematic discipline to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks between deal approval and the receipt of the first payment. His training background also enables him to build the documented checklists and closing procedures that allow Phoenix Capital's closing function to operate consistently and at growing volume.
For sellers, buyers, and broker partners working with Phoenix Capital, Ross's role means that every deal has a dedicated professional managing its closing process from start to finish — someone who has processed hundreds of loan files across diverse programs and platforms, understands exactly what documentation is required at every step, and is accountable for getting each transaction across the finish line with precision and professionalism.
